WHO I AM MATTERS

I come from a place off the grid that nobody has ever heard of before. Just kidding. I am from Orange County, California, the most essential location known to man. Let's keep it a semi-secret, though. Traffic is already semi-tolerable. I was born in Mission Viejo Hospital but jumped around to a number of different cities throughout my childhood. Problems of a child coming from a divorced household. 

I really plan to go to law school next year. My whole purpose of going back to school was to see just how far I could take this entire educational thing, but my dad pulled me aside. why not law school? I said, why not? So here I am, ready to embark on this journey of going to law school next year. My heart truly lies in, however, saving women who are stuck in "sex work" or are trafficked. Those are the people I truly want to defend. 

My mother is highly motivated and driven, so that is where I get that from. My dad is really patient and kind, and I am like that. But the thing I am most aligned with both parents definitely has to be my stubbornness. I am confident about where I get that from. And with the combination of both parents, I have a superpower of stubbornness. 

I am different from my parents because I am more disciplined than they are. I was not disciplined, but that all changed when I signed my life away to join the military.

If I had to define the way I live my life, everything I have comes from my religion and my family. My intentions align with being the best version of myself daily and, consequently, having my family feed off of that energy. That is the expectation I have set for myself.

I am not the type to idolize or model myself in anyone else because I truly believe in loving the person you were meant to be on this planet. But if I had to choose, it would be my best friend and mentor. Nino Garcia is definitely an exemplar. No other person I have met has proven that no matter the circumstance if you have an excellent heart and an even better work ethic, nothing can stop you.

I had never really thought about the animal question before, so this took some time and thought. So I did what any average person would do: take a random quiz on the internet to figure out what kind of animal I am. I scored a fox; one of the things that stuck out to me the most was having a misunderstanding of my reputation. That is relatively true. I have a bunch of tattoos, some muscle, and a resting face that might not make others smile back at times, but if you were to really get to know me, I feel like there would be a lot more compassion and understanding hiding away beneath all the tattoos. 

The question about the plants is my absolute favorite. I won't go into detail because I might get emotional. However, my favorite was watching and sitting beside my fantastic grandfather, trimming and caring for his bonsai trees. He had hundreds in his backyard and would strategically care for and tend to each one of them every day!

To wrap it up, I was born in Mission Viejo, CA, at 0759 on February 4th, 1998. Yeah, I know I'm a lot older than most of these guys, but that's the price I pay for being a military boy.
